“We are very proud of our girls who achieved outstanding results! We attribute this to the girls having an excellent work ethic and being well prepared by the staff," said Mrs Sue Goldfeder, Head of Academics and Vice-Principal of St Mary’s DSG, Kloof. This is the 6th year that we have had 2 or more girls in the top 50 IEB candidates in the country – a wonderful record.
The girls’ hard work has certainly paid off. 101 girls wrote matric this year and all 101 achieved a Matriculation Endorsement. 50 girls achieved ‘A’ aggregates (49,5%), 36 ‘B’ aggregates and 15 got ‘C’ aggregates.
There were 225 subject A’s and no subject failures.
We congratulate Kirsten Hood and Kerry-Lee Rosenberg who were placed in the top 50 IEB candidates. What an excellent achievement!
Nicola Wills achieved 8 A’s, Kirsten Hood and Nicola Walters got 7 A’s, and Katherine Bull, Joanne Crimes, Kelsey Locke, Kim McClure, Kerry-Lee Rosenberg and Liezl Steenkamp all got 6 A’s.
Our candidates write the IEB (Independent Examinations Board),
Senior Certificate Examination.
